Maggie E Drury - Reflexology in Hall Green and South East Birmingham

Welcome you to Med Reflexology which is based in Hall Green, South East Birmingham. My name is Maggie and I am a qualified Clinical Reflexologist having gained a Level 5 Diploma in Clinical Reflexology, from the Contemporary Reflexology College under the tuition of Allison Walker. This is the highest qualification available to become a Reflexologist in the UK and has enabled me to complete specialist modules in the following areas:

  • Enhancing Fertility and Maternity Care
  • Adapting Reflexology for Palliative Care
  • NEPIP (NeuroEndoPsychoImmunoPody) This is a wonderfully relaxing reflexology treatment which focuses on the relationship between our mind and the systems of our body
  • Meridian Reflexology
  • Auricular Reflexology This refers to reflexology treatments on the ears which can be useful in the treatment of pain and mobility.

I am also trained in the care of the person with cancer and the associated psychological, emotional and physical pain which this and the treatment can involve. As reflexology on the feet is not always possible or tolerated, I can offer hand and auricular (as mentioned above) reflexology treatments.

For the past 20 years I have worked as a Speech and Language Therapist within the NHS and treated clients from the age of 2 to 104 with a range of medical conditions. I have worked with people who have Learning Disabilities (both children and adults), Autism, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Stroke and since 2003 have worked with people who have various forms of Dementia, their carers and people nearing the end of their lives.

As a qualified Clinical Reflexologist I feel that I am able to build upon my background in care to offer a truly nurturing and beneficial experience aimed at alleviating increasing levels of pain (either emotional or physical), stress and anxiety in today's society by promoting the body's own healing. Stress can affect a person's ability to sleep and most people experiencing sleep problems report sleeping incredibly well following reflexology treatments. You will also see reports on my research page of people who report feeling the benefit of reflexology linked to fertility, maternity and pain problems alongside the acquired neurological conditions mentioned above.

I am registered with the Association of Reflexologists, and Professional Reflexology and from my experience of working within the NHS, you can be assured that I adhere to strict professional guidelines.

Please click on my Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) link to find out more about the price for my Reflexology treatments and the typical session tab will tell you what a reflexology treatment involves. Many people also ask "How can reflexology help me?" Please click on the research tab and you will see for yourself just a small sample from the breadth of research articles available. You will also be able to read the feedback I have had from clients in my Guestbook section.

If you would like to arrange a session you are welcome to visit me in Hall Green, Birmingham. I can also offer a mobile reflexology service for the surrounding areas of South East Birmingham e.g. Shirley and further e.g. Solihull where home visits mean you can relax in the comfort of your own home if you would prefer or have transport/mobility issues. If you have any questions at all or would like to make an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact me by telephone or email, via the links to the right.

    Thank you.
